We have during our trip found that certain phrases pertain to our adventure more than others. Here's a go at them:
1. Legendary! This was picked up at the BMW plant, during their recorded presantation. They went a bit overboard: This is BMW! This is LEGENDARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, who am I kidding, they went completly and totally overboard.
2. Epic! This phrase was picked up from none other than yours truly (and Dylan too).
3."Alot can happen in three minutes." This came about on one of the earlier days. Think back to the Duke Homstead, the tobbaco farm. We were driving down a road that was strangly tobbaco farm free. Mom was beginning to freak out (you'd have to have seen where we were!). Dylan looked at the GPS, a.k.a. Shirley Lynn, and saw that we still had three minutes left and stated "Ya know, alot can happen in three minutes". And so it did...
4. The wave. After visiting the corvette musuem we found that when ever two corvettes pass each other they perform a lazy flick of the hand, which has been dubbed 'The Corvette Wave.' I figured why should corvettes have all the fun. So I made up 'The Taraus Wave', which consists of bobbing up and down , putting on a stupid face, and waving your hand like a completely brainless idiot (I've perfected it - just ask me!).
5. Internet Challenged. When in certain places - especially campgrounds, we have found that the internet is rather hard to get so, Mom named this illness, being 'Intenet Challenged.'
6. "It's Never Like This". At the Hyatts and Jordan Lakes we were told the weather was not normally like this. (in SC "it never rains {true, it didn't rain - it poured!} and in TN "it's never this hot"). In IA they'd never experienced so many tornado warnings, and now in CA it's the coldest summer on record in 30 years! So hey, these statements may or may not be true, but it didn't stop us from having a great time in (almost) all those places!
7. "I lost...." Mom's been loosing stuff right and left...After leaving Bonnie's mom's my mom lost a second batch of items, the first batch was at the Jordan Lakes for those who are interested. The first batch we did get back, not the second.\
One more note before I go: we have a BIG surprise for you and it will come in the form of a blog tommorrow!
(I love creating suspense)
