California Dreaming!

Yesterday we went to an amusement park called California's Great America.  We met my Mom's longest best friend, Sandra (they've known each other since 6 grade!).  We went on most of the roller coasters with Sandra's two very fun kids (Lily, 11 and Jackson, 8).  It was a great park very fun worth every penny spent!

Here's Noah having a great time; he took his driving very seriously!

Today, we went to the Jelly Belly factory. They give tours (why else would we be there), but we missed the last tour by 10 minutes...major bummer!! So we just got Jelly Belly's - yum, yum! We also saw the Jelly Belly Bug ('punch-buggie' has been a fun game along this trip, that explains the pose).

Mom dared us to try some of the wacky flavors (they have a testing bar, where you can ask to try any flavor!).  I tried Baby Wipes, but Noah really took it to heart and tried Skunk Spray, Ear Wax and Barf (but he spit that out after just a second).  They also had Rotten Eggs, Moldy Cheese, Dog Food and Bogger!

Well, off to bed - tomorrow is a big day!
So Long,
Dyl

  1. Love the blog, as always, Dyl--just wondering, though, were those *your* pennies being spent on the amusement park? Maybe so (you were racking up the hours as a pizza chef not long ago). If not, however, maybe it remains *Mom's* prerogative to say whether the fun is worth the money spent :)

Just sayin'... (though I'm sure your mom had a great time, too!)

  2. whether you meant bogger or booger, that sounds mighty daring & impressive! not sure I could be that courageous, although I do like skunk aroma : )

  3. I've been a total comment slacker during your North American odyssey, and I apologize, but wanted to take a moment to check in and say hello! Plenty of folks in this part of the world miss you guys, but don't let that be a drag. The posts and pics make it clear that you're having a blast. Why would you even think two seconds about the boring old North County?

Keep spreading the wonderful Cernoia cheer wherever this journey takes you.

    Mike
