A sad day, and a happy day...this trip is quite the roller coaster.
So first I had to get up way earlier than I would have liked (yes, brother, I was up before 10 am!), but that was sad.
But then we had a hotel-paid-for breakfast, with really worthwhile doughnuts - that was pretty happy (and tasty).
Before we hit the road I got the check book balanced (thank goodness for online banking); that was a relief and made me pretty happy (even if I did feel like a responsible adult).
Of course I had to pay the bills, and, well, frankly that's just never very happy, in fact it's pretty sad.
We drove again and saw lots of desert-scape I've never seen before, we had air-conditioning...that was very happy!
There's a ton of traffic on the 2-lane highway to Vegas and no one uses their cruise control, that made for alot of speed adjusting which was not so bad, but I need a sad thing, so here you go.
We found another roller coaster to go on (part of a casino in Primm, NV); the highest point was 225 ft and it went at speeds of up to 90 mph - that made us happy (well, some of us).
It was so bumpy and jerky I think, I injured my back - this is not making me happy!
We drove through Las Vegas and got our first view of the strip - this made the boys very happy.
We landed at Laura Lee's house and have enjoyed a wonderful day with my second longest-knowing friend - this has made me so happy!!
Laura Lee is a master chef and served up the best tacos in town and root beer floats for dessert: this made my taco-loving boys (all 3 of them!) very, very happy (insert plenty of lip smacking)!
I'm relaxing in my spa-like bedroom with a super squishy bed (that my back is loving) and it's making me very, very, very...well, sleepy really but I'm suppose to say: happy.
So maybe the day was up and down, but in the end the 'ups' won out! I'm wishing the same for you all on this eve-of-Micah's-14th-birthday (14 on the 14th - pretty weird, eh?).
And to all a good night (insert plenty of ooooos and ahhhhhhs).
