A National Wonder

Finally today we made it to one of the most amazing national parks (if not the most amazing). The Grand Canyon!!!  Is it the incredible depth of the canyon, or the rush of the Colorado river through its core, or the intriguing layers of the red rock that makes the Grand Canyon so spectacular.  How about all of the above.  At an average of 7,000 ft. high looking over the southern rim of the canyon is a sight that I and the Cernoias will probably never forget for as long as we live.

Here are some fast facts about the Grand Canyon:

          - Became a national park in 1919
          - Is 190 miles long
          - Contains 277 miles of Colorado River
          - Is populated the Indian tribes: the Hopi, Navajo, Havasupai, Paiute and Haulapai

There is nothing I have seen so far in my lifetime that compares with the indescribable hugeness and beauty of the Grand Canyon. It is one of things that makes me wonder how someone can doubt the existence of God.

  1. I am jealous! My kids and I were just there last year. Are the rangers still posting the caution notices about us?

I hope you all get to see some more of Az. Have fun and Lord bless.

    Peace.
