Just Chilling

I seem to be the bottle-neck!  (Where is Noah when you need him?)

Here's a quick catch-up:
We high tailed it across several states so we could be in Clarksville, TN over Labor Day weekend.  Maybe we 'high-tailed' it too fast; Micah lost his p.j.s, a shirt, a pair of sweats and his shoes!  Yea, I know, but at least it wasn't me for a change!  What was our big push?  We wanted to join my long-time friends Bob and Laurie Key at their church.  We'd heard alot about it and were curious (as they say, hopeful that the curiosity wouldn't kill the proverbial cats!).  I'll tell you about the church in a minute, but let me catch you up to today first.

Maybe we are getting road weary, maybe there are just things that pile up no matter where you are, anyway - we hung around Clarksville, paid bills, caught up on emails and basically chilled-out.  (Even on 'vacation' there are things you've gotta do...go figure.)  Then the plan was to head into KY hang around Mammoth Caves, maybe do some of the things that we missed the first time.  So here was are - did a little hiking today, some swimming, and alot of hoping that it doesn't rain, lol!

So One Church...it was Micah's favorite church that we've visited, by far!  I haven't heard him express such excitement except when he has come home from a retreat.  That was pretty cool.  The music was the loudest we've heard yet (yes, even louder then the Hyatt's church)!  A little too loud for Dyl and me, but...it was our second significantly tattooed worship leader.  That was pretty cool!  The guy in AR wins the prize, though, with a tattooed balded head - wa-hoo!

The church is housed in a local high school, the baptism was done in a horse trough!  Wow!  So have never seen that!

There was lots of technology...big screens with quick, **funny** videos.  Similar to the Brentwood Baptist Church, only announcements were done by a warm-body in One Church :-).  The sermon was complete with table and stool (the new 'in thing' in churches it seems).  The message was very aware that not everyone in the building is comfortable in a 'church', but the pastor really hit a great tone for someone seeking to know Christ more.

Really a great Sunday - we had a blast with the Keys.  And we are really looking forward to seeing the Blairs in a couple days!  Anyone else want to join us - time is running out!  Make your plans soon!
