Third Time is the Charm

Third time is the charm, you ask?

Well...kind of...

We visited the Corvette Plant & Museum our first pass through KY, but the plant was closed :-( (we did hit the museum).  So we tried again, just a few days ago, as we passed by...but...again...they were not doing late tours that day.  Third time, we stood on the edge of a knife, as the front desk dialed the number to inquiry about tours we held our breath.  As it turned out maybe the old saying, "watch what you ask for, because you might get it" really is true!

We were allowed to go on the tour...if you can call it that.  The first (long) walk through nothing was in action, no bodies in motion, not even lights on!  It was lunch time.  The second part of the tour - nothing was in action, no bodies in motion (unless you count the guy sweeping), not even lights on...they closed early.  Uuuuuhhhhhhh.....so much for the UAW and the great American product.  And so much for the $7 dollars per person!

Maybe we were 'ugly Americans' (can you be that if you are IN America?), because we couldn't help comparing this with our Epic tour at the BMW plant (**awesome**)!!!  Yea - total hands-down winner!  Top-notch all the way!

But the Vette is just soooo stinking COOL!

And a PS - I guess we must be human.  We can learn!  The rain came...and...came...and came.  And we SURVIVED!  Hurray!  We are camping for the next week - dangerous business in the South :-)

This was suppose to be Dyl - it was his idea, but then I 'finished' (so I may indeed be the bottle-neck, but then again I can be helpful!)
